"Stop the Madness"

The Belgium terror attacks today remind us again of the scourge of radical Islam. It has become madness throughout the world and sometimes I believe if the average American has not been directly involved in a terrorist attack, we are becoming desensitized. Terrorist attacks are becoming daily events and if they are in the third world, we read about them and move on. But when they attack the West (Paris, San Bernardino, and Brussels) it's major news, but still little happens to solve the problem.

I have no magic solution, the terrorists today in Belgium attacked in the unsecured check-in area of the airport where anyone can get out of a car, walk in, and blow themselves up. The other attacker just blew himself up in an unsecured subway. I am not sure how that can be stopped; every airport, train terminal, subway in the world is an easy target along with music festivals, fairs, etc....the 'soft targets ' are endless. Do you want to go through security when you step out of your car at the airport or at a train station or visit a fair?

If I listed all the terrorist attacks that have happened just during 2015 it would fill up the rest of this Blog; the situation is pure madness and 99% is connected to Islam. Terrorism has to be irradiated at its source; attacks on soft targets can never be stopped.

To start, the first source is ISIS and their home base or 'Caliphate' in Syria; the source of the cancer must be eliminated; their leaders and soldiers are dispersed within the population so 'carpet bombing' and killing innocents is out of the question. I am not a military expert but it seems to me the only solution to the ISIS problem is a ground war going door-to-door in ISIS strongholds in Syria; not a popular move with a war weary American population, but this is a 'western' problem and a NATO coalition determined to eradicate ISIS should be able to do it very quickly.

I believe the final solution to the problem lies within Islam itself; if the majority of that religion cannot eradicate their radical element of Jihadists, and the Shia and Sunnis cannot figure out how to get along, we will be living with terrorism for generations. Christians went through a reformation in the 16th century, it was not easy and Catholics and Protestants continued to war with each other until they finally realized killing was not the answer. There have been 'flare-ups' as in Ireland and Northern Ireland, but mostly Christians have decided to live with each other peacefully....maybe it's time Muslims took a long hard look at themselves and learned something from history.

In America it is no longer politically correct to call a spade a spade or to use the term ghetto. The term spade can only be used in a poker game and the politically correct term for ghetto is now “A Distressed Community.” We have a government that will not use the term Radical Islamic Terrorism with a President who goes on national and international television following every terrorist attack to report that Islam is a peace loving religion that is not to be blamed for the attacks and we the American people respect all religious beliefs and diverse cultures.

If we continue down the path of political correctness and white guilt, we will soon have millions of Islamic faithful in residence, as is the case all across Europe and around the world. Are we blind to the long-term policies of the Islamic movement that sure looks like world domination under Sharia Law dictated by the Islamic clergy? It appears like Islam is poised to usher in a new Dark Age.

John that Daily Beast sight is pure BS, you have got to stop reading those far left web sites. Sure you can call every act of civil disobedience a "terror" attack, but if you don't think Islamic Terrorism is the major problem in this world right now, I'm sorry we have nothing in common on that subject.

Of course it is a problem, but to state that it is the only major problem is to be a tool of the media, or the political crisis of the moment. Muslims are 22% of the world population (1.6 BILLION people), 6% live in Europe, and 0.6% live in America. American Muslims have been here since before the Revolutionary War, as productive members of our society. To say that they are all targeting Non-Muslims is idiotic. The bulk of them live in the third world, where just getting enough to eat is the main problem of the day. American organized crime, including drug dealers, kills more people and causes more social disruption in a week than radical Islam does in a year. However, it's not news because we live with it daily in our society. Let's talk also about the 30,000+ Americans killed each year by gun violence.....half are suicides and around 17,500 are American children......data is from the Brady Campaign to End Violance. Where is the outrage over that statistic......which by the way dwarfs all Americans killed in war or through terrorism last year (roughly 5,000 troops and civilian contractors).

Reacting to the crisis of the moment doesn't solve problems, it only creates people like Trump, Rubio and Clinton and gives them power. Radical Islam feeds on poverty in the third world, which is created by exploitation of the people and regions by countries in the developed world. It has nothing whatsoever to do with religion. If 22% of the third world were Catholic, or Baptists we would be decrying Radial Christianity and it's bombings. We need to look at the root problems of Radical Islam.......or Radical Drug Dealers......or Radical 2nd Amendment purveyors of guns.....or Radical whatever and solve those problems.

Correction.....not Trump, Rubio and Clinton......I meant Trump, Cruz, and Clinton. Rubio is a child who tried to play an adult game.

John I encourage people to comments on my Blog, BUT on the subject of the Blog. With all respect this Blog is not a forum for you or others to go off on a tangent to discuss their liberal views on the subjects of gun control, organized crime, drug dealers, etc., unless it is the subject of the Blog. That is why I have encouraged you to write your own Blog so you can present your original thoughts to your readers. I can appreciate that you are a Muslim sympathizer but that has nothing to do with the Blog I wrote on terrorism. You say "radical Islam has nothing to do with religion" - what a ridiculous statement, tell that to the thousands of Christians who have been murdered or retained a sex slaves because they are "infidels" Anyway in the future keep your comments to the subject of the Blog.

Understood Chuck. Do you really believe that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi believes in anything but subjugation, murder, rape and anything evil. My comments are designed to present a broader perspective. I've obviously touched a nerve.

Keep your friends close Chuck and your enemies closer Chuck. I read everything, as I've mentioned before. My morning consists of Yahoo News, CNN, FOX, the BBC, PBS, and USA Today. You would be surprised at how little difference there is in the reporting. Makes me wonder if there is really only one source for news and they all subscribe to it. I used to read Al Jazeera USA until they stopped reporting. It wasn't that much different from FOX.
